Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi has issued a formal cease and desist notice to the general public, targeting social media users, bloggers, and content creators over what her legal team describes as false, misleading, and defamatory publications aimed at damaging her reputation.

The legal document, dated November 5, 2026, and released through her legal counsel, Whitestone Solicitors and Consultancy (signed by Tope Salami, Esq.), addresses ongoing online narratives surrounding the actress.

According to the statement, the firm noted that certain individuals have engaged in circulating unsubstantiated statements capable of injuring her professional image, personal integrity, and goodwill. The notice specifically highlights publications allegedly targeted at her person by "known persons" taking cover under sponsored individuals.

The notice explicitly demands that bloggers, influencers, and digital users immediately cease and desist from making, sharing, reposting, or amplifying unverified claims or malicious content concerning the actress across all communication channels.

"It is trite that the freedom of expression enjoyed by members of the public does not confer an unrestricted permit to spread falsehoods, malign another person's character or publish statements that unlawfully injure another person's reputation," the statement read.

The legal team outlined clear instructions for the public and digital creators, warning that anyone who continues to endorse or circulate defamatory statements will face formal legal proceedings under extant laws. The firm added that relevant digital materials, comments, and posts are being preserved as potential evidence for legal action where necessary.

Sharing the notice on her official social media page, Abraham appended a brief message urging her followers and the public to read the document carefully.
