The Cross River State Department of Film and Entertainment, operating as Callywood Studio, premiered its new feature film, "Cracked Down", at the Metropolitan Hotel in Calabar.
The project represents the first major feature completed under the leadership of Hon. Eric Anderson, who serves as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Callywood. In addition to overseeing the state film agency, Anderson directed the production.

The premiere drew over 500 attendees, bringing together local filmmakers, actors, government representatives, and creative industry stakeholders.
Shot entirely on location across Calabar, "Cracked Down" incorporates several public landmarks, municipal infrastructure, and state-monitored urban corridors into its narrative background. The production was structured to highlight the state capital's geographic appeal as a film destination while testing the capacity of local crew and talent.
The launch forms part of a broader mandate by the state administration to revive the Callywood brand as a regional hub for content creation, youth skills acquisition, and creative sector investment across Cross River State.
