EbonyLife Cinemas has published a new announcement concerning the FilmOne titles affected by Nigeria Cinema Day, providing details that were absent from the notice it previously posted and subsequently deleted.

The new update names the films that will no longer be screened as part of the cinema’s Cinema Day lineup. They are Spider-Man, Moana, Avengers: Endgame, Practical Magic, Resident Evil, Star Lomo, Runner and By Any Means Possible.

EbonyLife has also listed the titles that remain available to customers for Cinema Day. They include 19, The Odyssey, Tad and the Lost Lamb, Forgotten Island, Mutiny, Alahu, Properties of the Gods, Heart of the Beasts and Michael.

The cinema’s latest announcement comes after it first informed customers that FilmOne had withdrawn its titles from the September 26 Cinema Day programme. That initial notice was later deleted from EbonyLife’s Instagram page, a development previously reported by Nollywood CV.

The new post effectively puts the information back on the cinema’s page, but this time with the affected titles clearly identified. EbonyLife also maintains that Cinema Day will proceed despite the changes to its lineup.

The development leaves FilmOne’s reported withdrawal as the central issue. FilmOne has not publicly addressed the matter or explained the circumstances behind the removal of its titles from EbonyLife’s Cinema Day programme.

For customers, however, the latest announcement provides a clearer picture of what they can expect at EbonyLife Cinemas on Cinema Day, with the affected titles now separated from those that remain available.
