A new streaming platform is actively looking for Nigerian films, series, documentaries, and podcasts, and it is already live with African content on its platform.

Wild Horse TV is an independent streaming platform founded by American entrepreneur, television producer, and media executive Cheron K. Griffin, created to empower content creators through greater ownership, global distribution opportunities, and direct audience engagement. The platform has now opened its doors to African filmmakers and content creators as part of a deliberate push to bridge African and Diaspora storytelling through independent media.

Griffin launched Wild Horse TV after spending 13 years developing the Preachers’ Exes franchise, a groundbreaking concept she created in 2013 that has since grown into an international franchise, a media company, and a movement centred on ownership, representation, and authentic storytelling. The platform was built specifically to challenge the traditional distribution model. In her words, “For too long, creators have been told they must sacrifice ownership in exchange for opportunity. Wild Horse TV was built to challenge that model. We are creating a platform where creators can maintain greater ownership of their work, reach global audiences, and build sustainable revenue while telling stories that matter.”

The platform is currently expanding into Nigeria, Uganda, and South Africa, and has already secured content partnerships with filmmakers in Nigeria and Uganda. The Wild Horse Africa section of the platform is already live and currently features African films including Lost in Love, Bunjako, Fading Tulip, and a Nigerian short film titled Procrastination, giving audiences a feel of the kind of content the platform intends to champion.

Beyond the Preachers’ Exes franchise, Wild Horse TV distributes independent films, original series, podcasts, and visionary content from creators around the world. Current programming includes Preachers’ Exes of Houston, Preachers’ Exes Podcast, 5x Wifed Podcast, and the Wild Horse Movie. The platform’s flagship original series, Preachers’ Exes of Houston, is a bold reality docuseries that explores love, betrayal, healing, and survival behind the pulpit, with Episode 1 currently available to watch for free worldwide.

For Nigerian filmmakers tired of platforms that demand full rights transfers in exchange for distribution, Wild Horse TV represents a different kind of offer. The platform’s model is built around creator ownership, meaning filmmakers retain control of their work while accessing a growing global audience. Griffin has been clear about the bigger vision behind the platform: “Our goal is bigger than a streaming platform. We are building a global home for storytellers. Whether they are in Houston, Lagos, Kampala, Johannesburg, London, or Atlanta, we want creators to know there is a place where their stories matter.”
