Four independent Nigerian films will screen at Banex Cinema in Lekki Phase 1 on Sunday 24th August 2026, as part of Frames and Frequencies, an indie film night and creative conversation event organised by Indie Vibe House Party Nigeria and 730 Multimedia. The event starts at 5pm and brings together filmmakers, creatives, and audiences for an evening that combines film screenings with structured industry conversations.
The four films screening on the night are Adam, produced and directed by Bright Bryt Okocha; The Pretty Ones Are the Loneliest, produced and directed by Imoh Umoren and co-produced by Nathalie Wemambu; Missed Call, produced by One Film Africa; and Void, produced by Chocolate Dreams Studio and One Film Africa.
Following the screenings, three creative conversations will take place. James Abinibi will lead a session titled The Invisible Character: Scoring the Subtext in Indie Film, exploring how music and sound design shape meaning beneath the surface of a story. Imoh Umoren will speak on Frames and Frequencies: The Intersection of Sight, Sound and Cultural Storytelling, examining how independent filmmakers navigate the relationship between the visual and the sonic in culturally grounded work. Nathalie Wemambu will close the conversation sessions with Protecting the Vibe: Navigating Copyrights, Credits and Licensing in Indie Film, a practical and timely discussion on the legal and business frameworks that protect independent creative work.
