Papa’s arc moves from quiet endurance and pride—insisting Chinedu not sacrifice too
much for him—to a profound act of selflessness when he sells his wheelchair to pay
Chinedu’s school fees. By the end, he is physically diminished but emotionally fulfilled,
having ensured his son’s future at great personal cost.
