Ansi Kevin

I am Kevin Ansi, widely known as Director Kevans, a Nigerian filmmaker, director, and cinematographer whose approach to storytelling is shaped by a foundation in cinematography and editing. My work is rooted in atmosphere, intention, and emotional precision, with a focus on creating experiences that stay with audiences long after the screen fades to black. I am drawn to stories that carry tension beneath the surface. Whether working on narrative films, documentaries, commercials, or branded content, I pay close attention to both performance and visual language, shaping not just what the audience sees, but how they feel. My background as a cinematographer and editor allows me to approach directing with an understanding of the entire filmmaking process. I compose with intention, shoot with the edit in mind, and build rhythm long before post-production begins. Every creative decision is made in service of the story. Alongside narrative filmmaking, I have a deep interest in documentary and travel-based storytelling. Capturing real environments and unscripted human moments continually sharpens my ability to observe, interpret, and translate emotion through film. I have collaborated with government institutions, foreign missions, entertainment talents, entrepreneurs, and independent creatives across Nigeria. These experiences have allowed me to work across different cultures, industries, and storytelling formats while maintaining a consistent creative voice. Through Krafted Filmworks, my media production and creative consultancy company, I continue to develop original film projects while expanding into commercial, branded, and documentary spaces. My goal is simple: to tell compelling stories with honesty, craft, and intention.
