Shaibu Husseini

Foremost culture, theatre, and film expert, Shaibu is widely regarded as one of Nollywood’s most consistent documentarists. He holds a PhD in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos and worked for over three decades as a journalist/Editor-at-large with The Guardian. He is currently DG of the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), chairs the Selection Committee of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), lectures as an Adjunct at the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, University of Lagos, and consults for major international arts, theatre and film festivals.
